My Garden of a Thousand Bees Movie Viewing - Saturday, June 25 - FREE
Pollinator Week is June 19 – 25. The Grapevine Public Library is partnering with Keep Grapevine Beautiful to show the documentary, My Garden of a Thousand Bees. A wildlife filmmaker spends his time during the pandemic filming the bees in his urban garden and discovers the many diverse species and personalities that exist in this insect family.

Great White Shark and Belize Whale Shark Expeditions - Tuesday, June 28 and Friday, July 1
Ocean explorers, Wayne and Karen Brown, bring their explorations to life with their high-energy, fast-paced, multimedia presentations. They will combine actual specimens, biological models, life-sized inflatable animals, unique props, costumes, creative dramatics, storytelling techniques, high-tech SCUBA diving equipment, and breathtaking underwater photography. Audience participation will be encouraged.

Sushi Making and Sake Tasting Class - Thursday, July 28
Grab your special someone or a group of friends for a night of making sushi and sampling sake with Chef Ethan Starr, full-time instructor of The Culinary School of Fort Worth and former Head Sushi Chef and Sous Chef at Tokyo Café. During this unique class, the chef will teach you about different types of sushi, identifying and selecting quality ingredients, and the sushi making process. Sake will be paired with your sushi. As a bonus, you can take the tools home with you that you will need to show off your new sushi skills for your family.

Planes & Trains Guided Tour – Through Friday, August 12
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains Guided Tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station & Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the Observation Tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad—where an old-fashioned train robbery is rumored to take place. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle down Historic Main Street to Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area where they will be able to watch aircraft from around the world take off and land. Visitors may even be able to hear dialogue between pilots and the control tower. Tickets are available at GrapevineTicketLine.com. Dates: Every Friday through August 12
