Grapevine Public Library Hotspot Check- Out 
“Connect with Your Library” is the theme for the 64th annual celebration of National Library Week. In honor of this, the Grapevine Public Library began circulating 22 grant-funded hotspots on Friday, April 1. Hotspots are devices that will be checked out in three-week intervals in order to give patrons access to Wi-Fi they may not have. The hotspot check out can be renewed just like books but are limited to one per household. Hotspots are housed at and may be checked out at the Circulation Desk.

Celtic Heritage Festival and Highland Games – This Saturday 
The annual Grapevine Lake Celtic Heritage Festival and Highland Games honor Scottish and Irish cultures with traditional music, dance, food, and beer.  
Cheer on your favorite kilt-wearing athletes as they compete in the Highland Games Texas Open Championships. Tickets may be purchased at GrapevineCeltic.com or at the gate. Plant and Seed Exchange 
Grapevine Public Library’s Seed Library debuts this week. Seeds for flowers, plants, fruits, and vegetables will be available for library patrons. A maximum of five packets of seeds per person will be allowed. The goal of the seed library is for participants to grow their garden and donate those seeds to perpetuate this cooperative resource. 
  
Chuckwagon Supper at Nash Farm – Friday, April 8 
Join the cowhands for a Chuckwagon Supper at Nash Farm.  All proceeds support educational programs at Nash Farm. Price includes meal, souvenir, and beverages. Tickets may be purchased at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail & Blessing of the Vines – Saturday, April 9  
The New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail & Blessing of the Vines, presented by Park Place Dealerships, is a toast to the new release wines of the season!  Join us for an afternoon of delicious wine tastings and incredible works of art along Main Street. Blessing of the Vines, a centuries-old European tradition performed by a priest to ensure a bountiful harvest, is a time-honored Grapevine favorite. Spring is the perfect time to bring the entire family to Grapevine's Historic Nash Farm.  
At the annual Spring Into Nash event, guests will experience what life was like when the city's earliest settlers made their home in Grapevine. Free activities include wood working and carving, seed planting, house tours, wood stove cooking, campfire cooking, butter making, farm animals, wagon rides, and more. Earth Month Challenge – Through April 30 
Invest in your community by helping make it clean and litter free. This challenge encourages residents to clean their neighborhoods and rewards lucky participants with awesome prizes!  Details are as follows:  
  • Download your participation card, available in English or Spanish.   
  • As you collect litter in your neighborhood, your favorite park, or other green space, mark off each space as you find the items on the card. If needed, a grabber and trash bags will be provided by contacting us at info@KeepGrapevineBeautiful.org. 
  • Email your completed card to info@KeepGrapevineBeautiful.org along with your contact information no later than 7 pm, Sunday, April 30. Please also share photos of you and your family in action during this campaign.  
  • If you choose to post your images on social media, please tag #KGVBTX, showing everyone your litter collection and community involvement. 
Your card is your entry into the random drawing on Monday, May 2 when three prizes will be awarded. Only one winner per household will be eligible. Prizes are as follows: 
  • A one night stay at the Vineyards Campground & Cabins ($150 value) 
  • An annual pass to the Grapevine Lake Parks, ($80 value)

Grapevine Vintage Railroad Excursions 
Bear Creek Short Line Excursion – Saturday, April 9  
Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. While enjoying this one-hour excursion, you will also experience the Great Train Heist! Keep an eye out for those greedy outlaws onboard. Join the fun and help railroad detectives solve the mystery of who robbed the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. The entire family will enjoy this true railroad experience. Afterwards, explore Grapevine’s rich history on Historic Main Street and visit unique shops, restaurants, and other cultural attractions. Cotton Belt Route Excursion - Every Saturday & Sunday  
We begin in Downtown Grapevine at the Cotton Belt Depot. As you ride the rails, help us solve a “whodunit” featuring the “Great Train Heist”, an interactive performance with Cotton Belt Special Agents in hot pursuit of a couple of notorious train robbers.  Once we arrive in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards, riders may explore the Stockyards before re-boarding for the return to Grapevine. Tickets may be purchased at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

Trinity River Excursion   
The Stockyards Trinity River Excursion is a 45-minute train excursion departing from the Historic Stockyards Station in Fort Worth. Help solve a “whodunit” onboard this special excursion featuring the “Great Train Heist”, an interactive performance with Cotton Belt Special Agents in hot pursuit of a couple of notorious train robbers. The excursion crosses both channels of the Trinity River, travels through Trinity Park, and passes Montgomery Plaza before returning to the Stockyards. Summer Camp Registration is Now OPEN to Grapevine Residents 
Grapevine Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of summer camps each year that are not only educational but also promote social and physical activity. From outdoor excursion camps to art camps, there is something for everyone. Camp registration is now open for residents and REC members. Registration for non-residents will open on Friday, April 1. Night Watchman Ghost Tour – Friday & Saturday Evenings  
Who robbed the bank on Main Street in 1932? Which winery is haunted? Hear tales of history and haunting throughout the years in Grapevine.
