Electronics: Drop-Off and recycle your old electronics at the City Drop-Off station located at 502 Shady Brook Dr.
Batteries: Buy rechargeable batteries when you can. Keep used batteries in a plastic container and dispose of them at a City recycling event or any Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery location.
Gift Wrap Paper: Use re-usable gift bags or re-use gift wrapping when possible. Tearable/Non-mylar wrapping paper may be recycled at curbside.
Packing materials: Use shredded paper when possible. Reuse packing peanuts or drop them off at a local package shipping office. Clean White board-style Styrofoam may be taken to Foam Fabricators (900 Keller Pkwy. Ste. 101, Keller, 76248 - 817.379.6520).
Cardboard: Cardboard boxes may be broken down and placed out for curbside recycling. Large amounts of cardboard may be brought to the Drop-Off station Single Stream Recycling Container located in the Animal Shelter Parking lot (502 Shady Brook Drive.
Cooking Oil: Store cooled cooking oil in a labeled container with a lid and take it to the City's Household Hazardous Waste event in March, 2015 or the City of Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center for recycling. Located at 6400 Bridge St., the ECC is open on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
